Lost Souls : The World of Cults.

Heaven's Gate

I was looking for some informations about cults, and I found different beliefs people who even believe in UFO that's crazy,The name of that cult was Heaven's Gate, its leaders were Marshall Applewhite and Bonnie Nettles.Those people believed they were UFO, Applewhite conviced 38 of his followers to suicide themselves and due to their death their soul would go to a spacecraft that was behind of a planet called Hale-Bopp. I read that some of them were castrated and they drank some lemon juice to purify their souls before the  suicide. Their death was caused by an overdose Phenobarbital mixed with apple juice and  vodka.

 Peoples Temple

Jim Warren Jones

Another religion organization that caught my attention was Peoples Temple it was found in United States. Its leader Jim Jones started getting black people  saying he was against racism, he preached about social equality. he moved his segregation  to a farm in Kaituma due to all  the accused of sexual abuse, physical abuse, and the used of drugs into the segregation, they called that place Jonestown. It was on november 18th,1978 when more 900 people did a mass suicide. Some information says that there were people, who were forced to drink the poison and the survivors of this tragedy carry with guilt and the pain of this disaster.

Those are just two of the many segregation I could find,  and what really surprised me is how can people do things that even are detrimental to them just because someone else says.
