Shyness

When talking about shyness, we all have a person who comes to our minds. This is due to the fact that shyness is spreading all around the world. The question, then, is; are we born shy? Is it something that is in our genes? Is it something that we acquire through experience? Well, no matter the answer we should see this as a problem that affects people’s lives; in fact some people can’t even get a good job because of shyness. And furthermore, there are people whose marriages have gone to the dump as a result of shyness.
The problem is that it is kind of difficult to approach a shy person for he/she is always brushing you aside like a professional dodge ball player. When the shy person who avoids others is good looking, people use to make misattributions. They usually think that the shy person behaves that way because he feels outstanding or condescending.
Shy people do not settle for living in solitude, they want to gather others. Nevertheless, in order to best this situation, the best idea would be to make them think that the others are shy, too. If it works, they will feel more akin to the others. Then the burden of loneliness will vanish once and for all.

Well, I’ve been writing about possible solutions, however, the best solution is foreseeing the problem in children when they are little kids. Let’s try not to put them in isolation. Let them share and be what they want. If we do that, they will be so social that they’ll be able to stomach all kinds of personae. In conclusion, do not confuse shyness with personality. Some people are not shy; it’s just that they prefer not to get acquainted to people they think are inferior.

TAP WATER ABOUT TRAGEDY JIMANI

On Sunday afternoon, May 23, 2004, it rained in the city timidly Jimani, the rainfall reached the height only 10 mm, normal values of tropical downpours during this period of convective activity, however, between eight p.m. Sunday and eight Monday morning over 220 mm accumulated extremely high value that gives us some indication of hydrometeorological event had been planned in the upper part of the Sierra de Bahoruco and already for that morning Monday may 24, had produced a withering grown over the town of Jimani with a lot of silt, stones and tree trunks and the loss of hundreds of human beings, destruction of homes, disruption of basic services and infrastructure vial.
I remember that day it rained much looked as if God opened the keys of the heavens and I was 14 years old at that time I did not preocuba excess rain and I was happy bathing in it, I remember in the early morning thunder began were some thunder trembled the house to be exact thunder were 5 that made the house shake, I lived in a high rise Jimani they call the hill is a high district was the only district where the river water no passage; after the fifth thunder the voice of my cousin NORKITA between fear and tears cried my mother, "AUUUUUNT" was heard to hear we did not realize what was happening but we care to get the saw to her and asu husband in a motor with her three children who were alcansados by water, that morning we went to meet even rained much look at the water and the anguish of my cousin and her family, "We never imagined what had happened" and that the district's "40" had disappeared until amancio and saw the bodies of our family friends and good neighbors, without lying lives on the ground, houses torn from their bodies roots children lives without the strongest memory I have is when the water disappeared in his all that went to the neighborhood to see what had happened to remember seeing a child but still breathing like a fish out of water when someone gave him mouth to mouth breathing but whatever his stay small and fragile body lifeless.
live those moments the river was very painful part of my life and the people in my village forever .....

KNOW THAT WATER IS LIFE AND THAT IS ALL YOU NEED TO LIVE, BUT COULD BE WATER tabi TRAGEDY, DEATH, AND REMOVE THE HUMAN FACE OF THE EARTH AND WE CAN NOT reclaim THE REASONS WHY?

THE POLLYANNA THE RARE SYNDROME

Although it is good to be positive and optimistic, unrealistic optimism can be dangerous.  People who consistently binge drink at parties are being unrealistically optimistic in believing that they will survive the dangers of alcohol toxicity.  “It-couldn’t-happen-to-me” syndrome. In Jessica’s case, believing that she “can do anything good” or that she likes “anything” makes herself vulnerable to danger.  If she really likes anything, would she like to be kidnapped?  I don’t think so.  Would she like being in a car accident?  Probably not.  She doesn’t seem afraid of putting herself in a dangerous situation because she can “do anything.”  And that’s what  is risky about unrealistic optimism.

Unrealistic optimism is described as having an excessive (and even harmful) belief that all things will have positive outcomes, no matter what.  Meet Jessica: an extremely optimistic four year-old.   This video is entertaining, but there are plenty of adults who are actually like her.

Pollyanna is a best-selling 1913 novel by Eleanor H. Porter that is now considered a classic of children's literature, with the title character's name becoming a popular term for someone with the same optimistic outlook. The book was such a success that Porter soon produced a sequel, Pollyanna Grows Up (1915). Eleven more Pollyanna sequels, known as "Glad Books", were later published, most of them written by Elizabeth Borton or Harriet Lummis Smith. Further sequels followed, including Pollyanna Plays the Game by Colleen L. Reece, published in 1997.
Pollyanna has been adapted for film several times. Some of the best-known are Disney's 1960 version starring child actress Hayley Mills, who won a special Oscar for the role, and the 1920 version starring Mary Pickford.

What do you think of old people?
Are they happy?
We usually make missattributions when we see elders.
Let me tell you, you'll be one of them.
And believe me, I want to get there!!

When talking about Internet or other addictions, first off, it is suitable to give a concrete definition of addiction. Addiction is the condition of being coiled to something or someone. People usually get addicted to something they like or simply to something that makes them fell sated to themselves. But, how do people get addicted?
One important fact about getting addicted is the continuous usage of something. Nevertheless, some people get addicted since the first time they get in contact with the matter.

Getting to the axis of this writing, which is “internet addiction”, it is important to highlight the chief cause. Nowadays, technology has become a need for us to keep up to date; however, this need tends to produce intrinsic dependence on itself. The fact of the matter is that the chief forms of internet addiction now are the social media Web Pages. People spend most of their time chatting instead of surfing on the net. To conclude, it is important to be aware of the time we spend on the net.

THE OLDEST OLD; A LOOK AT CENTENARIANS.

THE OLD AGE.

The old age is a stage of the life that not all have the opportunity to live, for this reason we have to love and to assess our elders.

Some times a large amount of memories of my childhood come to my mind. At that time I was living in my grandfather's house, I saw my grandfather as my father, because he cared of me and loved me so much and everyday when he was returning to work  he was bringing me a lot of candy.
My grandfather was a strong man, was a good worker, he had a large number of  friends and had a good life. Today this man is an elderly person, he doesn't have mobility in his body and needs  help for  doing his daily  activities. Though of his situation my grandfather  is happy  because everybody loves and cares him.

I would like to write about dominican tap water.
I am not sure if we can talk about a real system of water in DR.we know that for years our rivers, the principal source of water, has been affected by a huge contamination and anybody do nothimg to solve this problem, it seems to be that the authorities do not care about this situation.
The service is madiocre some people pay for the service and then they do not receive for what they are paying so they have to spent a lot of money baying for truck water.
We get suprised when we can see a person, who is 80,90, or 100 years old, live plus doing things that they are not supposed to do.
I had the opportunity to talk with a centerian man and I asked him which has been the trick to continue alive and healthy, he answered me, the first thing is having a active life and he try to eat in the more natural way, it mean, he does not use artificial seasoning and those all things does the trick.
Another aspect we should keep in  mind relate to elderly people is when they get sick, we must be conscious that when one of them are sick, they do not feel well as a result they could perfoment sometime a hostility actitude, but it does not mean that they hate the people around them.

FENG SHUI; ANCIENT WISDOM TRAVEL WEST.

FENG SHUI.

Feng Shui is a Chinese organization system that consist in putting everything in a right way for get good energy, balance in your life, and get good luck.
I believe in feng shui because it is works, if your house is disorganized and everything is in wrong place you can feel like that, but when everything is in right way you can feel the good energy around you, this means if your windows, doors, and other things are aligned the good energy can circulate properly in the house.

Some feng shui experts  say that is no wonderful have mirror in the bedroom, less in from of the bed, because if you get up a night the reflecting mirror scared the heck out of your spirit, but is good to put mirror in the kitchen because mirrors double your abundance, other tip that they give is good idea to put a vase with flowers in the midst of the living room, because the flowers reflects the harmony

"If you are disorganized and need balance in your life, practice feng shui in your house, because it is woks."

The Tap Water

The Water is our source of live without water we wouldn't exist.

For that reason we have to be aware with the water we use and don't waste it, even thought we don't have the water in quantity or good quality, we need to conservative water.

Dominican Republic has a lot of problems with tap water;

- We have to pay the bill  without receiving the water.
- We have tap water once a week or less.
- Our water is isn't a drinkable water as in other countries .

Branch Davidian

Hello everyone!

Last night, as soon as I got home, I started founding out about the religious cult that our teacher, Atilano Pimentel, was telling us about. I got interested in the topic from the moment that the teacher started talking about it. Therefore, I decided to share some imforfation with you...

The Branch Davidians (also known as "The Branch") are a religious group that originated in 1955 from a schism in the Davidian Seventh-day Adventists ("Davidians"), a reform movement that began as an offshoot from the Seventh-day Adventist Church("Adventists") around 1930. The majority of those who accepted the reform message had been disfellowshipped (removed from membership) from the Seventh-day Adventist Church because of aberrant teachings.

From its inception in 1930, the reform movement believed themselves to be living in a time when Bible prophecies of a final divine judgment were coming to pass as a prelude to Christ's second coming. The name "Branch Davidian" is most widely known for theWaco siege of 1993 on their property (known as the Mount Carmel Center) near Waco, Texas. The 51-day siege, by the ATF, FBI, and Texas National Guard, resulted in the deaths of the Branch Davidians' leader, David Koresh, as well as 82 other Branch Davidian men, women, and children, and four ATF agents.

History
In 1929 Victor Houteff, a Bulgarian immigrant and a Seventh-day Adventist Sabbath School teacher in a local church in Southern California, claimed that he had a new message for the entire church. He presented this message in a book, The Shepherd's Rod: The 144,000—A Call for Reformation.[4] The Adventist leadership rejected Houteff's message as contrary to the Adventists' basic teachings and disfellowshipped (removed from membership) Houteff and his followers. However, there was some controversy over the method the leadership took to disfellowship Houteff. For a historical view of the leadership's investigation of Houteff's teachings, see "The Great Controversy over the Shepherd's Rod" (Tract #7).  In 1935 Houteff established his headquarters to the west of Waco, Texas.

Well, I dont want to you to feel bored. Take a look a this video which summarizes everything.
