Privacy

What I think when I hear this word is alone, solitude, isolated, secret, to hide...
It does that mean to me to conceal from the others our actions and thoughts.

Workplace privacy describes that employers collect information on the activities of their employees under surveillance or monitoring.

Employees while work frequently are involved in activities that aren't related to their jobs. For example:
An employee might check his or her email at work, or talk to a friend and family on his or her work phone, or watch pornography on the work computer.

Employers hire employees to do specific tasks, not to waste the time in private matters, in that case they should stay at home surfing on the internet or watching pornography.
That's one of the reasons why employers have workplace privacy, as a result of that too many employers not allow workers to use social networks at work, others not allow workers to use their cellphones during work.
