The elders in Dominican Republic.

I was checking some virtual newspapers, looking for some information about elders.
I found very important information about The elders in Dominican Republic. I would like to share this, and I hope that this information  can open our minds.

One million 100 thousand people over age 65 are living in Dominican Republic. It is a stage where you need, medical care, attention, medicine, a roof, and pension guarantees.
In Dominican Republic is very difficult that people over 65 have a good quality of life, because many of this people don't have these privileges.

Reaching old age or elderly person talks about a life lived in balance and having served many years in the family and society.

But not always the payment that is received by a life of service corresponds to these contributions, at least in the Dominican Republic, where older people suffering exclusion, contempt, and even abuse, according to a report by journalist Nuria Piera.

Nuria Piera explain that to give guarantees and protection for the elderly was promulgated in 1998 Law 352-98, Nuria Piera notes that on the paper, is a law that describes the ideal country for seniors, but in practice the opposite occurs with the elderly Dominicans.

                          "THIS IS A SAD REALITY"
