Becoming an old person at Dominican Republic could be a challenge. Why do I say that? Well for a long time I´ve been interacting with old persons from different social status, and i can say that no matter if they come from a high social class or low one, they all have had to face dificulty because of their condition of being old.
Old people from high social class have to face thst fact that they have to live alone, to live in place where others that are not their kindred to care of them, or worst, some of them have to live in an appartment, spending hours and hours without seing a face, or weeks and months without seing their related, without being able to do anything to fix it.
Old people from low class have the way to see person during the whole day, (this situation in a way is better) they have their kindred near them, (in most of the cases) but their needs can not be covered, so that they´d like to be rich.
Both groups have in common that they are not treated as the important person they are, most of them have to face disrespects from young people, they can not make their own decision, in most of the cases they depend on the decision of the ones that don´t considerate them as what they are, the one that beside God brought us to life.
All of you reading that note, are young, but, one day, are going to be old, and I think that we should prepare the way to have a better life during your youth, by giving an example to the ones coming after you.

I REALLY AGREED WITH YOU, BECAUSE BECOME OLD IN DOMINICAN REPUBLIC IS SO DIFFICULT. YOU DONT HAVE A GOOD INSURANCE AND IF YOU DONT HAVE ANY MONEY NOBODY CARES OF YOU. YOU MUST BE LUCKY IN THIS COUNTRY IF YOU WANT TO BE A HAPPY OLD PERSON.
