Water
is essential for survival, tap water is the one provided through pipes to a
valve located inside the house or its surroundings.
Dominican
tap water cannot be trusted, is so polluted that cannot even be used to bath a
newborn child; there are treatment plants; However, the quality of
non-contaminated water supply services remains poor. Dominican Citizens have
been obligated to buy bottled water which reputation, by the way, is being
questioned because of the low levels of purification required for human consumption.
Well, about this article I`ll say, of course in my own opinion, that in our country there is a collusion between the authorities and those who make money with the water. Why do I say this? Because it is wierd that most of the Water Treatment Plants are near or close to aqueducts or reservoirs both the city and the interior. Even you donot believe it, our water is a very good drinking water and there are a lot of resources human and mechanical to providing a water of excellent quality to the population. The problem is not the water, the trouble is that here exist a selected group of predators who wanna end it all.
