Addiction
is a repetitive activity, bad habit or behavior that people can’t stop by
themselves; having harmful effects or consequences.
Addictions
give people a momentaneous escape from their problems and the realities of
their life. At the beginning they bring pleasure but later people lose the
ability to stop the activity, habit or behavior in which they are immersed.
As
an effect of addiction people can develop (besides other feelings) anxiousness,
depression, emptiness, loneliness; on top of that, some consequences can be (besides
the fatal ones for the health) relationship problems, the replacement of social, occupational or recreational activities,
etc.
