What makes people shy

Shyness affects the behavior of many people all over the world. It may be an uncomfortable emotion of nervous-timid unsecure feeling. When we experience that behavior, we feel sensations of nervousness, and we feel unsecure, hesitating saying or doing something. A study about what makes people shy conducted by researches at Stony Brook University in New York, and Southwest University and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, both in China, suggests that the brain of shy or introverted people proccesses the world differently than the extroverted people. About 20% of people are born with a personality trait called sensory perception sensivity(sps) that can manifest itself as the tending to be inhibited. This trait can be seen in some children who are ¨slow to warm up¨ in a situation. People with this trait also take longer to make decisions, are more easily bored with small talk, are more bothered by noise and crowds, are more affected by caffeine, and more easily starled.
