internet addiction has many negative effects on people, the most immediately from my point of view, is definitely social, because people moves away from family and friends for being a the computer, relationships begin to cool, leave to attend meetings with friends, and can even feel irritable when they are away from the computer, thus causing a negative effect on social relations.
I consider that internet users spend time online because they want to satisfy their feeling, and over there they find whatever please them.
