The Oldest Old.
From my point of view the oldest in dominican republic are not important for any goverments, but some family forget about them too, I dont understand this way to act because you are son now but in the future if god wants you can be a old man or woman.
for a society whit values is obligatory to care about that, some family prefer to have then in a home care an go there once a year and others never go to see them, as I have seen some of then if they have anormal and active life they have a long life but if happens the opposite they die faster.
