Internet: A serious addiction?
A person who spends more than eight hours a day on the Internet may be considered as an Internet addicts. I believe people who are addicted to Internet have a serious problem just like other human additions. Internet addiction can cause not only behavior problems but also physical damage. According to Institute for Addiction Recovery Internet addiction is described as an impulse control disorder, which does not involve use of intoxicating drug and is very similar to pathological gambling. Even though Internet addiction is not a toxic it may cause similar psychological effects like drug addiction. Here are some effects that Internet addiction can cause:
·        * No control on their behavior to do other activities
·         *Spend more time alone lack of socializing face to face
·         *Spend too much time on the Internet and not doing other necessary things like going to the movies, going to a restaurant, sharing with family, etcetera
·         *If quitting this addiction some people can feel anger, depression, anxiety, fear, irritability, sadness, loneliness, and other symptoms

This addiction is a serious problem that should be treated as other serious addictions. For these important reasons I think using Internet too much can be a very serious addiction.
