Back in place (addictions)

As we saw in class, all addictions are bad and this was unknown before. I think that  today, there are still lots of people that overlook that reality,specially in under under under developed countries( I imagine you know some good examples)some people still believe that an alcoholic and a drug addict are totally different.
I respect their opinions but I think they're wrong.

Addictions can destroy a person's life at once.I have one testimony to share about one friend of mine. I can't mention the name and you know why.My friend used to be an ambassador in one country(obviously) and had a good salary, plus many other benefits that you can think of.She has one addiction, she is  a gambleholic.she loves to go to the casinos and other places where gambling is common.She was being supervised by a group of diplomats from her country and the country where she was.everything she used to do in that country was being recorded and at the end she was kick out from that country.after that she had to get back to her country and when she got  here she kept going on gambling, she lost her car and all her money and now she lives like a needy person.to me that was a great example and help me a lot to know myself and to control myself too.

I am going to conclude giving a definition of addiction and mentioning  the most common ones. an addiction is the state that results when a person takes in any substance  or engages in an activity  that can be nice but the continued use becomes compulsive and interferes with ordinary life responsibilities or relationships, or health.
