To day is very common  found that employers monitoring the action of the employees,they evaluate the quality of their work.they used camera, smart phone,computer etc.

sometimes the employees know about the equipment and they know about the place where the equipment is located ,but it isn't reason for employees make infraction and violate the laws.
when the employees are trapped ,they ere penalized in the job.
i agreed with the use of camera but in some cases the employees don't have privacy.

I think that the International Comite of the Red Cross make one of the most important labor in the world. It is an institution that works for the comunity. In cases of war, they help the wounded. Also they give support to other people that need them. For example,when is required blood donation for an emergency and many other cases.

In these time many companies have increased their sucurity with cameras and others devices, for that reason at the beginning it's so difucult to adapt in that type of enviroment, I told you that because I worked  three years ago in a company where they had many rules, cámaras. And every step that we made they knew.

Indirect speech and direct speech (unit 8)

Direct speech:

We use the direct speech when we repeat the same idea that other person say. That phrase is colocated with quotation marks. Exs:

Inderect speech:

In this speech we said the third  phrase that a person had said through:
* The verb "say" in pass (said) + (that) + clause.
* The verb "tell" in pass (told) + object pronoun + (that) +clause.

MAMA TINGO

I want to talk about Mama Tingo she was an activist from Yamasa she was born in Villa Mella.

  

when i read this title i thought in people who were defender like:  Ercilia Pepin, Mirabal s siters, Salome Ureña, Juana Saltitopa, and others.

But Mama Tingo is a person who few knows about her.

A brief biografy about Mama Tingo

Her real name is Florinda Muñoz Soriano she was born on november 8th 1921, in villa mella. she was a dominican activist leader and defender of the rural farmig community.

 She worked on her farm for decades with her husband and later a landhowner reclaimed the land. Although she was illiterate, it did not limit her and she fought for other like her who had lost their land. 

In the beginning of 1974, the landowner Pablo Díaz Hernández reclaimed the lands that were occupied for more than half a century by the farmerworkers of Hato Viejo. Díaz Hernández claimed that he had bought the land. Mamá Tingó belonged to the Federation of Christian Agrarian Leagues and headed the fight to obtain benefits for the farmworkers of Hato Viejo, who believed they deserved them because they had occupied and worked the land for more than half a century. Despite her advanced age, she participated fiercely in directing the farmworkers movement.

The landower Pablo Díaz Hernández enclosed 8,000 acres of land with barbed wire and uprooted the famers’ crops. On November 3, 1974, the farmworkers of Hato Viejo appeared in front of the Tribunal of Monte Plata where the case was held, but the landowner Pablo Díaz did not attend the hearing. When Mamá Tingó returned to her farm, she discovered that the foreman Ernesto Díaz (Durín), employee of the landholder, had released her pigs. She went to gather them, but the foreman was hidden and took advantage of the moment and shot her with a shotgun. Mamá Tingó tried to defend herself with a machete, but two shots, one in the head and one to the chest, killed her. She died in Hato Viejo at 52 years old.

She is considered a symbol of the fight for land and an example of a rural woman; because of this, one of the stations on the Santo Domingo Metro system is named in her honor.

"Spiritual Renewal"

Spiritual Renewal is a very important practice for me, because all human beings are tripartite; soul, body and spirit. Therefore, people sometimes feel a need to have a spiritul encounter and also that they  need a self-denial to the fisical world, I mean, to refrain from things that are pleasing to the body. In that way people can have a connection with the spiritual world and feel an  inner peace.

There are may ways of spiritual renewals. For example, ascetism which is fasting, refrain from sex, depart from the hectic life and go to a mountain to be alone with god praying, or dedicate one day or many days to be in the church praying, ect. Finally, I think that when one practice the ascetism it foster one's humility  and gratitude toward others and God.

The majority of company have surveillance. It is for employers and employees security.

I concider that the positive things about this topic are:
-Employer can know if employees are working appropriately.
-If an employee lost something can know who took it.
-Employees can be selected as month's employee or year's employee.
-To deter theft.

One of the negative things is:
-Employee don't have privacy.

Many people don't understand that surveillance is for the workers protection. They only think that their rights are violent when they are obligated to use it. It is something like a willy-nilly.

I can say that it is neccesary to have surveillance in a company and it is not enough to have safeguards.

FENG SHUI

"Feng Shui"

   After reading the topic of the "Feng Shui" in unit five, I think that what it says is a mere reality. when every thing in your house is well organized, in the appropriate place, the colors and all the decoration is in harmony you feel peace. Conversely, when you arrive home tired and stressed and the house is desorganized and dirty you get more stressed. Somebody told me one day "If your house is in order, then your mind is in order".

   I think this title it is according one of the most important human instutution around the world.It is the Red Cross,it is an international institution by helping war wounded or people who need help.
   
    That institution consists by some countries around the world.I want to share the main symbols are the Red Cross,the Red Crescent and the Red Crystal but I found more symbols the lion and sun emblem recognized red but without using ,Red Star of David emblem not recognized.The reason for why the Red Cross institution have different symbols? .It is because some countries related  the symbols with Christianity or simpler religious belief but Henri Dunat who was the founder said that religious  belief it wasn´t the reason however,he didn´t say what was the reason.

    In my point of view,the volunteer, who are the people that  actually work in this institution your only gain is receiving help without interest.I believe the only interest is helping and they are really hero because the volunteer are going in the warriors without weapons also they wish they could help somebody who need to help.

How you can watched in the video you need to separate your social life that your laboral life because ,if you use social media for example whatsapp,facebook in your job you can have been a different problem mainly with your boss ot teammate.In your personal life it is dangerous because you can say that the person who stel your personal ubication or whatever thing, for these reason we have taken care and keeping our privacy.

CHILDREN’S INTERNACIONAL

Children's internacional is an institution which work  in poverty-stricken neighborhood specially with children also teeneger . It is located in Mendoza , Los tres ojos and Bayaguana.

 This institution provides them doctor, medicene, education, gift for birth, scholarship and otherse things. Some People from Unit state, Canadá, and other countries, they doneted the money to the institution even godfather one child.

The children have to subscribe in the isntitution from early ages and complet some code such  send letter and Photo three times a year, go to the doctor, participe in some activities.

They are some activities for teenegers like conferenca and journals.The teenegers have to work voluteer in this community and the institution when they take  Conference then reproduce this Conference to other adoles cent  where they live ,and  they offer scholarship .

I was in the institution onty 21 at this age i have to leave there , I did some course and took some conference , I did voluntary work in my neighborhood. This was a great time for me . Actually my Sisters have taken some conference there.

 Unit eight is about Geveva conventions. In this unit is explained how a businessman called jean-Henri Dunant was shocked by the horrific situations suffered by the soldiers in the battlefield. He proposed an international organization to help soldiers of battle. Dunant persuaded the swiss government to reach his purpose so, representatives of twelve governments met and ratified an agreement that prevailed until 1949.  He also wrote a book called A  memory of Solferino, in this book he expresses the reasons of heping the soldiers.

  I want to say that working in a company involves manyfactors. Unit seven is about workplace privacy, and I think that Most employees ignore it. What I mean is that they do not have enough informations about what are their rights. I think that this is an error,because the fisrt thing that they have to know are their rights.For example, if the employees do not know their rights, the employer could abuse of them. For me, the privacy is a right for everyone. I think that employees need to be surveillance, but this have to be in a right way,because the privacy of someone has to be respected.

I don't believe in warriors without weapons. For me, they are just a bunch of permissive people who pretend to be peacemakers, but they are involved in same dirt. I hate war. It only causes suffering and poverty and uncountless unnecessary deaths. I do believe in an honest fight, where your interests don't come first, and you engage yourself and sacrifice for others, or for future generations. Those who called themselves as 'Warrior without weapons', are supporting an unfair and unescrupulous war that has no end, where the main objective is to protect the authorities' economy, and fill their pockets and belly. I recently found out that a country in war makes far much more money than a country that isn't. So, war could be abolished, but it is not convenient for the big ones.

FENG SHUI

Feng shui is "the ancient Chinese art or practice of arranging the environment in order to achieve harmony in that space" (From the Book NorthStar 5-Third Edition, page 100). 

After reading these words, I remembered that many people use this theory of life for decorating spaces. That is why I selected an Interiors Designer graduated from Mercy Jacques Technical Superior Institute, Janna Garcia, to interview her about her professional point of view about Feng Shui.

Interviewer: Ms. Garcia, Do you believe in Feng Shui?

Ms. Garcia: No, I don't. Because it is actually related to the Shintoism, which is an Asian religion. And it states like if you don't follow its statements you can have bad spirits coming to your house or your life.

Interviewer: So, you are saying that you don't use it for decorating?

Ms. Garcia: Well, actually, we all use it without even noticing it, because there are things that feng shui states that are very useful, like for example, you cannot use in your bedroom colors like red, because you will feel the whole day active and stressed. Also, Feng shui states that we should use neutral colors with very few bright colors. That will bring harmony to you, but not too neutral because you can spend your whole day like sleepy, or in very slow motion. The environment affects our emotions. So, feng shui helps keep the balance when using colors. Also, feng shui encourages minimalism, which is a decoration style that says that the less objects you use, the better. 

Besides, Feng Shui is eco-friendly, it encourages the use of natural elements in your house, like a water fountain indoors, or natural flowers or a bush inside of your house. So, yes, I use Feng Shui in my work.

Hello, I think that this unit talks about things that people do every time and why they do this. Some events that happend around our lives. The people are cosumed their times on the mall, supermarket, and others places where we can bay many things. In my opinion , one of the problems is that people dont take  control of their money and they are out of control in this part. The tipping points means an important moment . In our country , Dominican Republic , that happened some important moment , for example , Trujillo's dead. The country was prisioner of Trujillo and his men . After that, Dominican Republic was free.
