Unit eight is about Geveva conventions. In this unit is explained how a businessman called jean-Henri Dunant was shocked by the horrific situations suffered by the soldiers in the battlefield. He proposed an international organization to help soldiers of battle. Dunant persuaded the swiss government to reach his purpose so, representatives of twelve governments met and ratified an agreement that prevailed until 1949. He also wrote a book called A memory of Solferino, in this book he expresses the reasons of heping the soldiers.
