This unit was awesome, I mean we have learned a couple of new words and how to use it.
Getting deep in the unit, we were able to understand the lives of those beautiful and funny centenarians, some of them have their personal diets and hobbies. and others are just trying to relaxing by the dancing or a good book to read.
In the dominican republic there are no respect for the old people, and that's a big mistake, those people who are getting old or who are turning into a centenarian deserve respect and attention, nowadays some people just put their old parents in an asylum, and when I see it I feel so bad. I mean, those guys don't remember what their parents did for them?. Such as diapering, baths, paying studies , feed them , give them a place to live and a comfortable bed, and they are incapable of paying back just a little bit of that.
Just because they want to live their own life, it doesn't mean that they are right about forgetting their physical and mentally progenitors.
Besides we can learn a lot of those people, they have an incredible experience in life, and who knows maybe they can help us with some love stuff, and how to act in any situation for don't make the same mistake that they did in the past.
There is a web page dedicated to the research of the centenarians, associated to the boston university, school of medicine. Here you can read a lot of interesting studies about the topic of the centenarians.
