feng shui

As one an another definitions we can say that : is an ancient beliefs regarding the good an evil influences inherent in natural features, specially in the siting and design of homes, offices etc.
A lot of people around the world are believing today faithful in the feng shui practice. They don`t move anything without consulting feng shui. This happen because they thing that some good luck o bad luck could happen to them.
For example, someone belive in a mirror out of order even touch this is broken could give them very bad luck too.
It`s say that some place in the house, as the kidsroom or another place that is painting with x color afect directly the feeling of people specially in childrens.
Soft colors and clear colors as the blue color because they give them peace and quiet.

So much things we can say about the feng shui in this moment that a lot of people would like to say too.

However, my real opinion is always that according are your things, you are.

feng shui

the feng shui is a kind of technique used to know how to put everything where they belong either in an office or in an apartment.I guess that my house was built under a feng shui´s tendency because the house is located in a place where the sunlight does not burn very much.furthermore,
inside the house each item is allocated where it belongs.for instance, the mirror is hung on the walls instead of being behind the door or in another inappropiate spot.I would like to use this technique
when I purchase my own house.

centenarians

CENTENARIANS.

I think that nowdays, old people are not treated as they are supposed to be treated. For isntance,in my country ,some people mistreat and make fun of the elderly.I believe that we should treat old people as kings and queens since they are like a source of knowledge which passes from generation to generation.

how would we like to be treated when we reach their age? it´s a burning question or isn´t it?

we have got to understand that old people are just human beings who deserve to be cared and loved.

Tap Water Facts

Tap Water Is Full Of Disease-Causing Contaminants - Most municipal water flows through lead pipes over 100 years old picking up harmful toxins and pollutants before the water treatment plant (which performs very limited functions) and also afterwards when the water is on its way to your house.

Arsenic - Which has been directly linked to cancer and many other diseases, has been found in 85% of our cities' water. Exposure to lead found at "alarmingly high levels" in many cities by Consumer Reports, can cause learning and behavioral problems in children, lower IQ, high blood pressure, and problems to the reproductive and nervous systems.

Some other common water contaminants and what they have been linked to are: Asbestos (cancer and other diseases), Aluminum (Alzheimer's),Benzene (cancer, anemia), Mercury (nervous system and kidney damage),Toluene (cancer), herbicides and pesticides such as Endrin (liver, kidney and heart damage, respiratory problems and cancer).

80% of city water systems were not equipped with filters that meet EPA standards. In addition, most cities add the harmful Chlorine and Fluoride to water.

Fluoridated water, which is banned in much of Europe but still common in the US, is linked, according to Preventative Dental Health Association, to cancer and infertility. According to a 1994 study in Journal of American Medica Association, drinking fluoridated water doubles the chances of hip fractures in older people.

Future Bio-terrorist Threat Adds To Current Problems. The Centers For Disease Control warns that "50% of the water purification systems in the country sometimes let through the same parasite (Cryptosporidium) that in 1983 caused illness to half of the population of Milwaukee, WI".

A recent Water Quality Association poll showed that 74% of Americans consider their tap water contaminated or dangerous. 80% don't like the taste. And the following annual figures from the National Resources Defense Council confirm the shocking problem: Every year in the U.S.:

  • 900,000 Sick and 900 Dead due to water contamination.
  • 50 Million Poisoned by radioactive radon or radium from their tap water.

These figures don't even factor in the thousands of long term illnesses and deaths from cancer, kidney and heart disease linked to contaminated water.

If you have your own well water, you're not really better off. In fact, most of those on well water have more contaminants per drop than those in cities.

Many are also concerned today by bio-terrorism threat to our water supplies as there are 168,000 different public water supplies in the U.S., many of which are completely unprotected.

Bottled Water May Be Worse - Recognizing the problem with tap water, many Americans have turned to bottled water. Unfortunately, bottled water is not only quite expensive, it is often just as contaminated as your tap water.

According to FDA rules, bottled water is subject to less testing and lower standards than our tap water! Even disinfection is not a requirement for bottled water! A 4-year NRDC scientific study on bottled water, based on 1000 bottles of 103 brands of water confirmed that bottled water is not necessarily cleaner or safer than common tap water.

University of Iowa tested 39 different brands of bottled water and found that 75% of them contained chemicals, dissolved metals, and traces of arsenic, barium and toluene. Their conclusion was "Bottled water is no better than tap water and, in some cases, even worse".

* A carbon filter alone will only remove 50% of this contaminant.

Ordinary Filters Don't Work - Over 95% of the filters used in America are the kind that attach to your faucet or are built into pitchers and dispensers. These are an improvement over plain tap water, but they cannot filter most of the contaminants, as you can see in the above chart.

Researchers have now developed an economical and effective way to virtually eliminate all the harmful contaminants from your water with a process calledReverse Osmosis which is available for both city and well water. This technology can eliminate even the tiniest microscopic impurities from water. It pushes tap water through "pores" which are 620,000 times smaller than a human hair (too small for even bacteria). In fact, U.S. hospitals use this pioneering technology to get their water super pure.

A reverse osmosis unit together with a carbon filter will produce the safest and best-tasting water you can provide for you and your family.

For the sake of our health and safety and the health of our children, please take a moment to examine the products offered here. Reverse osmosis and the carbon filter pages contain simple, inexpensive solutions to one of our worlds greatest problems. taken from the university of iowa and epa results. sincerely, yamil aybar

The water is one of the most precious resources in the world and without it the mankind cannot survive. Every single human being needs to drink water every day, because it contains all the salts and minerals that the body loses everyday; if the body does not consume water it may dehydrate.

Every time water is getting more and more expensive because tap water is unfit for consuption. Nowadays tap water contains high levels of chlorine and other chemicals harmful for health, mentioning all the bancteria and mud that common tap water may contain. That is the reason why the systems for water purification are getting more and more expensive, and the bottled water more and more expensive.

drinking water

Drinking Water
Turbidity has long played a critical role in drinking water production with the most common application being as a regulatory compliance parameter in filter effluent applications. More recently water treatment plants have discovered the benefits of measuring turbidity in other applications such as source water and backwash monitoring.
Turbidity Measurement Technologies

Turbidity is defined as an expression of the optical properties of a sample that causes light rays to be scattered and absorbed rather than be transmitted in straight lines through the sample. Turbidity is caused by the presence of suspended and dissolved matter such as clay, silt, finely divided organic matter, plankton, other microscopic organisms, organic acids, and dyes. It’s important to note that turbidity is not a measure of the quantity of suspended solids in a sample, but instead, an aggregate measure of the combined scattering effect of the water sample’s suspended material on an incident light source.

Three types of light sources are commonly used in turbidimeters: incandescent, light emitting diode (LED), and laser diodes. Incandescent light sources emit a broad spectrum of light that includes shorter wavelengths that are better suited to detection of smaller particles. Common infrared LEDs (IR) used in turbidity measurements emit 830-890 nanometer (nm) light that is typically not absorbed by visible color in the sample, eliminating a common source of error. Laser-based light sources are very sensitive to small changes in turbidity and are often used to monitor the performance of filters producing ultrapure water such as is commonly used in many industrial processes.

Dominican Tap Water

Since childhood I remember my father told me "Never drink tap water can cause you a disease."
We had always purchased bottled water not only to drink if not also for cooking; cooking with tap water in Dominica Republic may cause a bad experience in addition to the diseases that can be contracted.
The high cost of bottled water in the Dominican Republic affects every body
1 large bottle of water containing 5 gallons costs between RDD$ 45 and
RD $ 50.00 pesos
Distrust of the tap water is that the distribution conditions are unreliable. Water can be contaminated by leaks and pipe length, poor connections and more. The bad taste of tap water, the abundance of germs and microbes make it almost mandatory to use bottle water for cooking and drinking.

Moreover the distrust of tap water to affect Tourism just put the in the internet “Water in Dom Rep immediately get a notice "Do not drink tap water because it can cause stomach diseases "

DOMINICAN TAP WATER

A couple of years ago, my brother Moises was playing basketball with a group of American players when they got thirsty. They wanted to drink water but there was not bottled water left. Consequently, they decided to drink tap water. As soon as they drank it, they ran to a hospital because the group of American players started to feel a terrible stomach-ache.

With my brother's experience, you can determine the quality of Dominican tap water.

Avril Lavigne - Wish You Were Here

i like this song,i hope you can enjoy it
THE BOLD AND THE BASHFUL

If I have to classify myself between introvert or extrovert, I don't know which one I am. Sometimes, I'm introvert, and other days I'm extrovert. When I am with my family and friends, I totally talkative, funny, and outgoing. On the other hand, when I talk with an authority, I get really nervous. Also, when I have a presentation at the university, I get really nervous, my hands perspire, and I get a terrible headache.

OLD AGE CAN ALSO BE FUN

When you are young you never think of the adults or be old, but over the years your mood is not the same, you get tired faster, you do not have much desire to do new things and physically you are getting old, but this does not mean that your life is finished otherwise this may be the time when you really start to live.

Old people do not have to stay at home, they have different options to get out and have fun, for example in Dominican Republic I can mention various places:

  • Colonial Zone: A bohemian and beautiful place. Here you can find(Pata D´ Palo Restaurant from you can see the dominican dance folklore.

  • National Theater: Here you can go to see a singer or an orchestra and also a work where diverse actors make you forget reality.

  • The Hotel Clarion: it place have a fantastic disco with nice music call Botton´s Bar.

  • And at home:The best place to share with family and friends.

Being happy in life even in old age depends on you.

Internet Adicition

Hi everyone!
.... Addiction..

An addiction, in my opinion, is a strong desire for something that you can not control. There are many people around the world addicted to something. However, you have to keep in mind that you are not an addicted because, you love many things or enjoy them so much.

An addiction does not begin immediately, it begins as a hobby then a dependency and at the end become an addiction. Furthermore, do not worry, there are several other factors which help you to identify when you are slipping into an addiction.

For example, I loved sleeping all day. All my life used to be in my bed. I did everything there like eating, doing my homework, watching tv, listening to music, etc. After an hour in my dutys i felt asleep. I really loved and enjoyed sleeping a lot, so I could not control it. I got hooked on sleeping (being in my bed) that I discovered it was deteriorating my life and social skills. Fortunately, It became possible for me to drag myself away.

Thanks
Raisy.........

Hi again everyone, Tow or tree weeks ago I had been searching information on the web about water because something relative to my Job. At office we are normally doing different kinds of research finding electronic solutions to some common issues we had seen in our society or maybe just trying to emulate some electronic invent we had seen on youtube or another site.

There are a new invent presented on youtube that can fascinate whoever person that see it. This invent is a radio-wave emitter that can literally burn the water with salt. If you don`t know what I am talking about yet, I`ll try to explain it. If you can burn water then water can be a combustible and in the future you could use the water with salt as you are using the gasoline today. And the better is that when you burn gasoline you obtain a toxic waste damaging environment but if you burn water you won obtain toxic waste, the final results will be Hydrogen and Oxygen returning to the atmosphere and becoming water again in a real clean energy system.

Maybe, You understand a little bit more now after the explanation in last paragraph. But the information given is not the unique information I want to give you, because I am trying to match it with our topic of tap water, so while I was studying the water properties I found an extraneously newspaper article with the title:

30 million litres flushed after man urinates in reservoir

Here is the link if you want to red the news...

and here is the link of the invent before mentioned:

Thanks every one for reading this article....

shyness

What Is Shyness?

Shyness is an emotion that affects how a person feels and behaves around others. Shyness can mean feeling uncomfortable, self-conscious, nervous, bashful, timid, or insecure. People who feel shy sometimes notice physical sensations like blushing or feeling speechless, shaky, or breathless.
Shyness is the opposite of being at ease with yourself around others. When people feel shy, they might hesitate to say or do something because they're feeling unsure of themselves and they're not ready to be noticed.

New Word

As we already know, a centenarian is a person who is or lives beyond the age of 100 years. But a new word that we should know is supercentenarian, a supercentenarian (sometimes hyphenated as super-centenarian) is someone who has reached the age of 110 years. This age is achieved by about one in a thousand centenarians.
